  • Is It Painful?
    • No. The FibroScan® exam is painless, quick and easy. During measurement, you feel a slight vibration on the skin at the tip of the probe.
  • What will the FibroScan® examination be like?
    • You will lie on your back with your right arm raised behind your head. The healthcare provider will apply a water-based gel to your skin and place the probe on the right side of your ribcage. The provider will take 10 quick measurements, and these will be used to determine your liver stiffness score. FibroScan® probes are adapted for most body types and ages, including both children and adults.

The entire visit for FibroScan® examination should last <10 minutes.

To prepare for your FibroScan®:

  • Fast for at least 3 hours before your exam (don’t eat or drink anything).
  • Wear comfortable clothing that will allow your provider to access the right side of your ribcage.

Our trained pharmacists prepare compounded medications under sterile conditions following USP <797> guidance. They have extensive experience in both non-sterile and sterile compounding and pharmaceutical manufacturing.

We source all ingredients from FDA-approved distributors, and they undergo rigorous quality testing in USA-based labs to ensure safety and effectiveness.

Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Fatty Liver Disease (MAFLD)

What is MAFLD?

Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Fatty Liver Disease (MAFLD) is one of the most common liver conditions, affecting nearly 30% of American adults. For individuals with conditions like obesity, type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome, or obstructive sleep apnea, the prevalence skyrockets to between 70-90%. It is also highly prevalent in certain ethnic groups, particularly among Hispanics, where rates can reach up to 60%.

MAFLD is not limited to people with existing liver disease—it affects a broad segment of the population, primarily due to factors like diet, excess weight, and metabolic disorders.

What are the Risks Associated with MAFLD?

MAFLD can lead to serious health issues if left untreated, dramatically increasing the risk of other conditions, including:

  • Hyperinsulinemia: Excessive insulin production due to insulin resistance from MAFLD.
  • Type 2 Diabetes: Insulin resistance caused by MAFLD can lead to elevated blood sugar levels, eventually resulting in diabetes.
  • Cardiovascular Disease: MAFLD contributes to chronic inflammation and lipid imbalances, increasing the risk of heart attacks and strokes.
  • High Blood Pressure: Systemic inflammation from MAFLD can raise vascular resistance, contributing to high blood pressure.
  • Dyslipidemia: Elevated levels of LDL (bad cholesterol) and triglycerides, with reduced HDL (good cholesterol), increasing heart disease risk.
  • Chronic Kidney Disease: Inflammation and insulin resistance damage kidney function over time.
  • Obstructive Sleep Apnea: MAFLD-related obesity and inflammation can exacerbate airway obstruction during sleep.
  • Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS): Insulin resistance from MAFLD worsens hormonal imbalances, leading to PCOS.
  • Liver Fibrosis and Cirrhosis: Persistent liver inflammation can cause scarring, leading to cirrhosis, which impairs liver function.
  • Liver Cancer: Over time, chronic MAFLD can increase the risk of liver cancer, especially if it progresses to cirrhosis.

How We Can Help:

At our clinic, we specialize in managing MAFLD through advanced diagnostic tools and personalized treatments. One of the primary ways we assess and monitor your liver health is through the FibroScan.

  • FibroScan: This is a non-invasive imaging test that measures liver stiffness to assess fibrosis and liver health. It helps us understand the severity of MAFLD without the need for invasive procedures, allowing us to track your liver health over time.

Treatment with GLP-1 Agonists:

In addition to diagnostics, we offer treatments tailored to reduce the progression of MAFLD. One of the most effective treatments we prescribe is GLP-1 agonists, a class of medications that help with weight loss, improve insulin sensitivity, and promote better metabolic control. These medications can help reduce liver fat and inflammation, improving your overall liver health.

By addressing MAFLD early and effectively, we aim to help you avoid the serious complications associated with this condition and support your journey to long-term health.

Weight Loss

Our medically supervised weight loss program is designed to help you achieve lasting results with personalized care. We use advanced treatments like GLP-1 agonists, specifically Semaglutide and Tirzepatide, to aid in weight loss by improving appetite control, enhancing metabolic health, and promoting fat loss.

How It Works:

Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are medications that mimic the actions of natural hormones in your body to regulate appetite and blood sugar. By slowing down digestion and reducing hunger signals, they help you eat less, while also supporting your body’s ability to break down fat. These medications are especially effective for patients with obesity, type 2 diabetes, or metabolic syndromes.

Both medications have been shown to result in significant weight loss when combined with a healthy diet and increased physical activity. Studies demonstrate that patients can lose between 15-20% of their body weight over time, making these treatments powerful tools for sustainable weight management.

Personalized Treatment:

At our clinic, we take a tailored approach to weight loss. Your treatment plan is customized based on your individual health needs and goals. Our healthcare team will monitor your progress regularly to ensure that you are losing weight safely and effectively. We also compound Semaglutide and Tirzepatide on-site, ensuring that the medication is personalized to your exact dosage requirements.

With our comprehensive support and cutting-edge treatments, you’ll have the guidance and tools needed to reach your long-term health goals and maintain a healthier lifestyle.

Smoking Cessation

Quitting nicotine is one of the best decisions you can make for your health, and we’re here to help you succeed. Our smoking cessation program offers personalized assessments and prescriptions for patients ready to quit smoking, vaping, or using other nicotine products like chewing tobacco or nicotine pouches.

How We Help:

We prescribe varenicline, a proven FDA-approved medication that significantly increases the chances of quitting nicotine. Varenicline works by blocking the nicotine receptors in your brain, which reduces cravings and makes nicotine ineffective if you continue using it. After about 1-2 weeks on Varenicline, most patients find their nicotine cravings disappear entirely, making it easier to stop without the typical withdrawal symptoms.

Why Varenicline?

Studies show that Varenicline is one of the most effective smoking cessation medications, with higher success rates compared to nicotine patches or other therapies. The key benefit of Varenicline is that it helps patients quit without going through the usual withdrawal symptoms that come with stopping nicotine.

Testosterone Replacement Treatment

If you’re experiencing symptoms like fatigue, low energy, or reduced muscle mass, you may have low testosterone levels, a condition known as hypogonadism. Our testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is designed to help men regain normal testosterone levels and improve their overall well-being.

How It Works:

We start by conducting a comprehensive assessment and ordering blood labs to diagnose low testosterone. The blood tests, performed at trusted labs, will help determine if testosterone replacement is right for you. If you’re diagnosed with low testosterone, we will prescribe testosterone replacement therapy and schedule follow-up appointments to monitor your progress and adjust treatment as needed.

What to Expect from Treatment:

Once your therapy begins, you will receive regular follow-ups to ensure that the dosage is optimized for your individual needs. Testosterone replacement therapy can be administered through various methods, including injections, patches, or topical gels, depending on what works best for you. Our healthcare professionals will monitor your hormone levels and adjust your treatment to ensure your testosterone levels remain within a healthy range.

This treatment not only helps restore testosterone levels but also alleviates symptoms associated with low testosterone, such as low energy, mood changes, and muscle weakness. Most patients start seeing improvements in their energy and overall health within a few weeks.

GLP-1 Agonists

GLP-1 agonists, including Semaglutide and Tirzepatide, are advanced medications used to promote weight loss and improve conditions like Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD). These medications work by regulating appetite and enhancing your body’s ability to process glucose.

At our clinic, we take quality seriously. Unlike most clinics, we have in-house pharmacists who monitor the supply chain and oversee quality assurance, ensuring you receive the highest quality product.
